Hobbies are an important part of life, I think. They provide distraction. They allow us to be creative, to be more social, to engage other sides of ourselves.
Hobbies bring us pleasure and allow us to fill our free time with relaxing activities that provide us escape from the monotony of life.
Hobbies have become extraordinarily important to me since being diagnosed with sarcoidosis and since I am no longer working. They keep me sane.
Recently, I have taken up photography. I’m not very good at it but I am having fun. It taps into my creative side and it is a great distraction from the long and sometimes difficult days of uncertainty living with my disease.
Here are a few of my recent attempts at becoming the next Ansel Adams (Ha,ha)…..Enjoy!
I especially like the one of the rock up in the clouds!

You are really good! The one of the alligator with the clouds reflecting in the water – awesome! The first one of the purple flower I would love to have, reminds me of spring. Love the one of the dogs with their noses through the fence.
